2009-2013 Objectives

• Bring back forward looking philosophy to Shorewood.

• Strongly support our public safely police and fire protection staff and equipment.

• Support city staff and employees as allies to our city, not adversaries to micromanage.

• Nurture team work regularly to discover new solutions, instead of simply challenging existing ones.

• Expand support with community partners and local associations.

• Bring back trash collection for annual city clean up day.

• Expand and improve our recycling programs for both residents and city staff needs.

• Explore use of technology where possible to reduce operational costs while improving benefits to residents.

• Improve roadways by creating a precise and understandable pavement policy and budgeting process.

• Revitalize community involvement through improved communications such as web surveys, hosted visioning workshops, and town hall style meetings.

• Protect our housing values and natural resources by supporting a “Milfoil-Free” Lake Minnetonka.

• Continue to explore “missing” trail opportunities to join existing trails and amenities together.
